Zack "Sport" Bloodworth, Jr.

Zack "Sport" Bloodworth, age 83 of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 14th in the Abbeville First Baptist Church.Reverend Tony Dixon, Reverend Jim Faircloth, and Reverend Hal Dickson will officiate.Donna Stripling will give a eulogy.Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday before the service in the church.Interment will be in the Stubbs Cemetery. Mr. Bloodworth was born on March 4, 1928 in Pineview, Ga.He was son of the late Zackariah Bloodworth and sallie Mae Stevens Bloodworth.He was retired from Civil Service Robins Air Force Base as a Foreman in the Amnution Division and Assistant Foreman with the Georgia Department of Transportation.He was a member of the Abbeville First Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday School Teacher of the Adult Men's Class. Survivors include:wife-Norma Bloodworth of Abbeville, son-Deryll (Linda) Bloodsworth of Abbeville, daughters-Sheryll (Mitch) Luther of Abbeville and Marla Johnson of Abbeville, brother-Bill Bloodworth of Bonaire, sister-Betty Mays of Pineview, 4-grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
