William D. "Bill" Sutton

William D. "Bill" Sutton, age 81, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, at his residence.He was a retired owner and operator of the Rochelle Dairy Queen, the Our Place Restaurant, and the Rochelle Place Convenient Store.He was of the Methodist Faith, was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force with 23 years of service, and was a member and Past Commander of the Wilcox County American Legion Post #71 for 20 years. Mr. Sutton was born December 29, 1938, to the late Charles Otis Sutton and Minnie Bagwell Sutton.He was preceded by a son, Brian Sutton.Survivors include his wife, Mary F. Sutton; his sons, William D. Sutton, Jr., George Duane Sutton, and Shawn Douglas Sutton; three sisters, Annette Abbott, Dorothy Terry, and Alice Brooks; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Private graveside service will be held in Morningside Cemetery, with Pastor Joel Owens officiating. Frazier & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
