William "Billy" Poss

William “Billy” Poss, age 65, of Pitts, passed away August 16, 2023, at his residence.  He was employed with Leon Arant, and was a Baptist by faith.

Billy was born November 23, 1957, in Cordele, Georgia to the late Claude Poss and Jeanie Azalee Grice.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny C. Poss, and a wife of 37 years, Pat Poss.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Poss; his daughters:  Rebecca Hall (Jeff), Jenny Turner (Eric), and 4 step-daughters; a sister, Betty Ann Gibbs (Rodney); 5 grandchildren:  Shawna Turner, Billie Poss, David McKever, Tristin Day, and Layla Poss; and 4 great-grandchildren:  Brooklin Daniels, Christopher Daniels, Bella McKever, and Ocean Beasley.

A graveside service will be held at Morningside Cemetery on Saturday, August 19th, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Rodney Gibbs officiating.  A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Frazier & Son Funeral Home.
