Thomas R. "Tommy" Stanley

Thomas R. “Tommy” Stanley, age 79 of Abbeville, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, June 18, 2026 in the Abbeville Christian Church with the Reverend Freddy Hogg officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service 11:00 AM-12:00 PM in the church. Interment will be in the Stubbs Cemetery.

Tommy was born on September 18, 1946 in Long Branch, NJ. He was son of the late Thomas Stanley and Ruth Brown Bell. He was a member of the Abbeville Christian Church where he served as a church Lay Leader. He was Co-Owner of the D & T Construction Company. He was a member and Assistant Chief of the Abbeville Fire-Rescue where he had served 25 dedicated years. He was a former member of the Abbeville City Council, the Abbeville Housing Authority and Cedar Creek Blue Grass Band. He was a 1965 Graduate of the Middletown Township High School.

Survivors include: son-Tyler Stanley (Lauren), step-son-James Davis, daughter-Susannah Holmes (Wendell), step-daughters-Terri Creech (Jeff) and Heather Branch (Clint), sister-Sue Stanley, niece-Jennifer Fuller, grandchildren-Shepherd and Virginia Stanley, Lane Thomas and Waylon Holmes, step-grandchildren-BJ Creech, Troy Creech, James William Davis, Justin Davis and Anna Grace Branch.
