Stephen J. Barrett, age 63 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 in the Houston County Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 12th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Jim Faircloth will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in Stubbs Cemetery in Abbeville with military rites. Mr. Barrett was born on February 16, 1947 in Atlanta, Ga. having lived in Abbeville since 1987.He was son of the late Helen Sue Morris Barrett.He was a retired employee from Robins Air Force Base Computer Analysis Air Force Reserve Command. He was of the Baptist faith and served his country with honor in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Survivors include:wife-Debra Barrett of Abbeville, father-James Emmett Barrett, Jr. of Abbeville, daughter-Michelle Henson of Warner Robins, brother-Philip A. Barrett of Newnan, sister-Kathy Dawson of Rocky Mt., N. C., 1-grandson-Stephan Henson, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Friday, February 11th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
