Shawn Keene

Shawn Keene, age 48 of Abbeville, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Rochelle. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Rochelle. Reverend Richard Compton and Reverend Billy Harris will officiate. Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery.

Shawn was born on April 10, 1977 in Cordele, Ga. He was son of Ricky and Carol Ash Keene. He was an employee at Robins Air Force Base as an Electronics Technician. He loved to chaperone youth church events and church mission trips. He had a compassionate love for others, especially under-privileged kids and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: parents-Ricky and Carol Ash Keene, 3 aunts-Barbara Gibbs, Brenda (Nelson) Gaines, and Elaine Roberts, 1 great-aunt-Shirley Thigpen. Several cousins also survive.
