Russell Buren Fitzgerald

Russell B. Fitzgerald, age 79 of Pitts, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Crisp Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 13th in the Pine City Baptist Church.Brother Louie Tripp will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Pine City Cemetery with military rites. Mr. Fitzgerald was born on January 8, 1932 in Rochelle.He was son of the late John Arthur Fitzgerald and Addie Patterson Fitzgerald.He was retired from the Schlitz Brewery Maintenance Department.He was of the Methodist faith and served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.He was also a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by three brothers-Ernest Fitzgerald and Willie Fitzgerald both of Rochelle and John A. Fitzgerald, Jr. of Pitts. Survivors include: sons-Russell B. Fitzgerald, Jr. of Wisconsin, Ronald A. Fitzgerald and daughter in-law-Lisa (Fan) Fitzgerald of Wisconsin and Reginald S. Fitzgerald of South Carolina and daughter-in-law-Cynthia (Marsh) Fitzgerald of South Carolina, daughter-Kathy J. Fitzgerald of Wisconsin, sisters-Katherine Dennard of Rochelle and Lucile Seader of West Palm Beach, Florida, 2-grandchildren-Kristy (Fitzgerald) Czerniakowski of Wisconsin and Tyler Fitzgerald of Wisconsin and 1-great-grandchild-Olivia Fitzgerald of Wisconsin, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Saturday, February 12th in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
