Roy T. Warren, age 93 of Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 18th in the Pope City Baptist Church.Reverend Danny Allen and Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate.Interment will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 19 in the family plot in the College Park Cemetery Mr. Warren was born on January 22, 1918 in Conyers having lived in Rochelle since 2001.He was son of the late Vence Sanford Warren and Emma Lee Pirkle Warren.He was a member of Pope City Baptist Church and a retired Building Supervisor for Clayton County. He was the widower of Vera Clack Warren.He was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis, Jack, and Roger Warren. Survivors include:daughter and son-in-law-Roxanne and Danny Allen of Rochelle, 9-grandchildren and 19-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, February 17th in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Pope City Baptist Church Building Fund, C/O Lisa Fuller, 2088 Gordon Rd., Rochelle, Ga. 31079 Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
