Rosela Carolyn Witt

Rosela Carolyn Witt, age 84, of Abbeville, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at her residence.   She was a member of the Open House of Prayer, and was very spiritual, serving the Lord, and doing missionary work whenever she could.

Rosela was born July 3, 1939, in Buchanan, Virginia, to the late Orville Burdette Horne and Edith Margaret Terry Horne.  She had lived in Abbeville the last 4 years, and enjoyed sewing, caregiving, gardening, and going to the beach and the mountains.  Arrowhead hunting was her favorite pastime.

Survivors include her daughters:  Berna Carol Sheffield, Doris Moore, Melinda Kay Harper (Tommy), Lorrie Jack (Tony), and Rebecca Johnston (James); 15 grandchildren 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; her siblings:  Malcomb Randall Horne, Mildred Virginia Chaffin, Gloria Dean Horne Martin, Charles Horne, and Larry Horne.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Taylor, a great-grandchild, Hunter McFall, and a sister, Glenna Booze.
