Opal Dykes Statham age 83 of Hawkinsville passed away Friday, December 11, 2009in the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Wilcox Countywith Reverend Danny Powers officiating.Interment will be in the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Statham was born on April 22, 1926 in Dodge County having lived most of her life in Pulaski County.She was daughter of John and Sally Bowen Dykes. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Statham, Jr. Survivors include:sons-John E. Statham III of Hawkinsville, Thomas Statham of Unadilla, daughters-Sandra Gregel of Woodstock, Marinell Paxton of Ellijay, Hedy English of Guyton, brother-Clifford Dykes of Rhine, sister-Delma Williamson of Rhine, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
