Olivero Chapa, Jr.

Olivero Z Chapa Jr, born June 18, 1968 in Mason, Texas to Olivero B Chapa Sr and Lidia Z Chapa has passed on Sunday, September 20, 2026 peacefully in the early hours of his sleep.

Oliver could have a mean streak when provoked but overall he was a kind soul. He always made it a point to stay in contact and check on his family and friends, making sure everyone was doing well when in reality, he required care himself. He was always ready and willing to assist anyone in need even if it meant giving his last cent or the shirt off his back. When able, he loved riding in his golfcart through the dirt roads always having his sidekick Pebbles (sister's chihuahua) by his side. He loved to joke, tease and heckle folks just to make it an interesting day. He enjoyed watching football and although living in Georgia for many years he remained a Dallas Cowboy fan.

He loved his nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, sisters & brother among other family and friends. He never forgot your birthday and made it a point to reach out before your day was done, preferably in the early morning of your birthday. Again, he never forgot about family or friends.

Olivero is survived by his sister Julie Ramos (husband Rick) of Fort Worth, Texas, sister Rachel Terry (husband James) of Pitts, Georgia, brother Gilbert Chapa (wife Sandy) of Pitts, Georgia and his 7 nieces, nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Olivero B Chapa Sr and Mother - Lidia Z Chapa along with Paternal/maternal grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. His memory will carry on through the hearts of those who loved him and cared for him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any charity of choice or Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Memorialization will be by cremation, and a memorial service in his remembrance will be held at a later date.
