Nellie Mae Hitson

Nellie Mae Hitson, age 85 of Pitts, passed away Sunday, September 28, 201 at her residence.A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 30th in the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home.Reverend Danny Allen will officiate. Mrs. Hitson was born on September 22, 1929 in Eastman.She was daughter of the late Elam Lee Hitson and Ella Jones Hitson.She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.She is preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Hitson, a son-W. A. Hitson, brother-Clevie Jones, sister-Hazel Smith, step-daughter-Dora Mae Jones and a step-son-William Henry Hitson. Survivors include: sons-Therman Stubbs of Cordele, Doyle Hitson of Ashburn, and Garon Hitson of Abbeville, step-sons-Floyd Hitson of Abbeville and Frank Hitson of Thomaston, daughters-Elizabeth Hitson of Pitts, Marie Hitson of Pitts, Cora Hitson of Pitts, Lisa Anderson of Newton, Tricia Hitson of Cordele and Ruth Ellen Hitson of Rochelle, half-sister-Diane Wiggins of Thomaston,brother-Raymond Jones of Cordele and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
