Margene N. Hollingsworth

Margene N. Hollingsworth, age 83 of 10401 Hwy. 129 South, Abbeville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 20th in the Siloam Baptist Church.Reverend Tommy Baker and Reverend David Clark will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Siloam Cemetery. Mrs. Hollingsworth was born on December 18, 1929 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late Lonnie Newman and Alma Heath Newman.She was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 49 years.She was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Hollingsworth, a granddaughter-Melanie Brown and a great-granddaughter-Michaela Hollingsworth. Survivors include:son-Eugene Hollingsworth of Abbeville, daughters-Brenda H. Blackwell of Abbeville, Elizabeth H. (Raymond) Brown of Valdosta, Susan H. (Andy) Luke of Fitzgerald and Judy H. (Joe) Story of Tifton, brother-Randall Newman of Collings, sisters-Vivian Hancock of Dublin and Myrtle Conley of Rhine, 11-grandchildren and 18-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be:Jerry and Jamie Blackwell, Michael Hollingsworth, Steve Boutwell, Travis Luke, Craig Morgan, James Mitchell and Chad Passmore. Music was provided by Charles Fisher, Tim Harris and Chad Passmore. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
