Linda Lejune Wilkerson

Linda Lejune Wilkerson, age 81 of Rochelle, passed away peacefully at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus, Ga. on August 17, 2026. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Salem Cemetery in Ben Hill County. Rev. Richard Compton and Rev. Billy Harris will officiate. She was the youngest daughter of the late Earl and Zelma Holliday of Rochelle. She married Melvin T. Wilkerson in 1966 and they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in October. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rochelle.

Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Melvin T. Wilkerson, her daughters Melanie Gagliano and Stacey Ledford; her grandchildren, Chase Worley (Rachel), Derek Lee (Ahjaina), Scott Gagliano (Megan), Duane Lee (Tiffany), Isaiah Gagliano (Abby); her great grandchildren, Oliver Worley, Margaret Worley, Gemma Worley, and Kenzie Lee; and her sister Carolyn Weyant. Mrs. Wilkerson loved her family and was so proud to have “5 handsome grandsons” to call her own!

Mrs. Wilkerson was a loving Aunt with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, William Holliday, and her son-in-law, Marty Ledford.
