Kevin Lloyd Harpe's life began on May 15, 1971 in the town of Cordele, Ga. Kevin was born to Elizabeth Annette Gibbs Hayslip and Kevin Dennis Harpe. He grew up around Rochelle, Ga. and after attending Wilcox County Schools, went on to drive semi-trucks for several companies over the years, the longest of which was Lasko for roughly 20 years. He was very family oriented being a man who was a keeper of many titles: son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. Kevin’s favorite things in the world was fishing, hunting, God and most of all playing hot wheels with his grandson Buddy. He was a man of good character that would lend a helping hand if needed, and ear to listen or giving the shirt off his back if that was what was needed. He was loved and cherished by many.
Kevin is survived by his dad-Dennis Harpe (Jessie), step-dad-B. F. Hayslip, son-Kevin A. Harpe (Desi), daughter-Ashley Hobby (Kam), grandson-Wyatt Hobby, brothers-Shannon Harpe (Jessica), Shown Layfield (Hollee), Shane Layfield (Amanda), Tanner Luther (Sarah) and Mark Luther (Magen), sisters-Tisa Porter, Tracey Swain (Russell), ex-wife-Tami Sutton (Greg) and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and others. He is proceded in death by his mother-Elizabeth “Libby” Annette Hayslip.
