Kathleen McAnally Knight

Kathleen McAnally Knight, age 93 of Abbeville, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Shady Pines Estate. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in the Stubbs Cemetery. Rev. Tim Moorhouse will officiate.

Kathleen was born on October 19, 1932, in Andrews, South Carolina. She was daughter of the late John and Claudia Taylor Freeman. She was a self-employed homemaker. She was also a faithful and devoted member of Kramer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands – Benjamin McAnally and Dan Knight, step-sons-Tommy Knight and Richard Knight, brother-Arnold Freeman, and sister-Ruby Pope.

Survivors include: sons – John McAnally and Jimmy McAnally, daughter-Delores Young (Wesley), step-daughter-Cindy Thompson, brothers-Clinton Freeman and Harry Freeman, sister-Ethel Chavis, best friend-Lori Mansfield, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family wants to make known their appreciation to Shady Pines Estate for the care given.
