Judy Benson Tripp

Judy Benson Tripp, age 77 of Pitts, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at her residence. Funeral services will be held in the Union Baptist Church on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. in the church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. Reverend Tommy Land, Jr. and Reverend Eddie Wilcox will officiate.

Judy was born on June 28, 1948, at home on the Benson Farm. She was daughter of the late Thurman O. Benson and Thelma Gibbs Benson. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Union Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and Nannie to her grandchildren and Aunt Judy to her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister-Ramona Dominey, and 2 brothers-Thurman Benson, Jr. and Bobby Benson.

Survivors include: husband of 60 years-Joe Tripp Sr. of Pitts, sons-Joe Tripp, Jr (Faye) of Haynesville, Todd Tripp (Suzanne) of Pitts and Scott Tripp (Michelle) of Unadilla, sisters-Emily Wise, Shirley Miller and Sharon Martin (Noel), grandchildren-Heather Tripp, Autumn Tripp, Anna E. Tripp, Anna B. Tripp, and Jonathan Tripp.
