J.R. Tucker

J.R. Tucker, age 85 of Pineview (Formally of Pitts), passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Crossview Care Center in Pineview, Ga. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel at Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1-2 P.M. in the chapel. Interment will be in the Eureka Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula, Ga. Rev. Tim Moorhouse and Rev. Steve Clifton will officiate.

J.R. was born on April 6, 1940 in Ocilla, Ga. to the late Issac Tucker and Hazel Smith Tucker. He was a self-employed plumber and was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of the Dooly County Board of Education, he did electrical work, loved to hunt, fish, and watch NASCAR Racing in his free time. He was a graduate in the Class of 1958 of Irwin County High School. He was preceded in death by his sister-Cleo Roberts and former wife-Deloris Woodard Tucker.

Survivors include: sons-Jay Tucker of Chula and Jeff Tucker of Chula, and brother-Jerry Tucker of Waterloo.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Union Baptist Church or Gideons International.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
