Jimmy Parks, age 49, of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the Crisp Regional Hospital. He was a graduate of Wilcox County High School, a former employee with the Southern Refuge and Recylcing Department, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, and was a avid fan of the UGA football, and a Wilcox Patriot fan.
Jimmy was born March 3, 1974, to the late Jimmy "Peanut" Parks and Katie Spurling. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Parks. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Abigail Parks (Terrance) of McRae; 2 sisters: Rachel Burnam of Abbeville, and Ashley Parks Atwood of Indiana; grandchildren: Ashtyn Clay Parks, Eastyn Lee Parks; and Jaxtyn Kohl Parks; a speical aunt, Virginia "Jenny" Wilcox, and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, at 3:00 p.m. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating, and the family asks that everyone wear UGA Bulldog attire. Interment will be in Siloam Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
