Jesse Loyd Stubbs

Loyd Stubbs, age 85 of Rochelle, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in the Pineview Health Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 28 in the Rebecca Baptist Church.Reverend Ray Johnson and Reverend Eric Smith will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot at Christian Home Cemetery. Mr. Stubbs was born on October 23, 1925 in Ashburn, Ga.He was son of the late John B. Stubbs and Lithia Estelle Lamb Stubbs.He was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church and the Wilcox County Farm Bureau.He was a self employed farmer and he served his country with honor during World War II in the United States Marines. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Stubbs in 2003. Survivors include:wife-Faustine Stubbs of Rochelle, sons-Ronnie, Roy and Ray Stubbs all of Rochelle and Dan Stubbs of Ashburn, 11-grandchildren and 16-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 27 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
