James R. "Jimmy" Statham, Jr.

James R. “Jimmy” Statham, Jr., age 78 of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Canopy Assisted Living Facility in Warner Robins, Ga. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors on Thursday July 17, 2025. Pastor Chuck Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Frazier and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Statham was born on November 16, 1946 in Fitzgerald, Ga. He was son of the late Robert Statham and Pauline Powell Statham. He was of the Christian Faith and was a retired mechanic at Modern Fibers. He served his country with honor in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era where he received a purple heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Statham, a daughter, Jeanie Ann Statham, and sisters, Linda Hendley, Mary Ann Statham, and brother, Charles Statham.

Survivors include: a son- Jammy (Joani) Statham, a daughter- Patti (Trent) Jones, grandchildren- Stone Statham, Callie Vandegrift, Cassady Vandegrift, Allie (Austin) Accursio, and Great Grandchildren- Kelli Ann and Ramsey Accursio.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation service is in charge of arrangements.
