James Brantley, Sr.

October 30, 1934 — November 25, 2025

A man called by God to show the unconditional love of God to others, he was a kind and generous man, always speaking positively and encouraging others and in the Lord with Prayer and Scripture. A man to respect and admire.

Today we Celebrate a life time of incredible memories, wisdom, and Love that has been shared with us all. His strength, kindness, and unwavering Faith has been a guiding light in our lives. We are forever grateful for the years he showed us what it means to be resilient, compassionate, and caring, setting an example that we strive to follow everyday.

James Brantley, Sr., age 91, departed his earthly life on Tuesday, November, 25, 2025 with his devoted wife of 22 years and 7 months by his side. He was born on October 30, 1934, in Graham, Georgia, to the parents of the late Shakrow Brantley and Elnora Walker Drummond.

He was employed with the Sea Island Company of St. Simonds Island. Georgia for 35 years. He was an avid golfer who played in a Senior league, traveling to Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas, and won various tournaments. He was also a Pro with the Jekyll Island Gold Club during the 60s.

He was a devoted and dedicated member and minister at the Church of Jesus Christ Revival Center, Brunswick, Georgia for many years where he met his bride, Sister Patricia Curry. James and Patricia were joined in Holy Matrimony at the Revival Center on July, 19, 2003. They made their home in Soperton, Georgia and welcomed their Beloved German Shepherd, Samson on June 15, 2012.

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Patricia Ann Brantley. First generation children: James Brantley, Jr, (Janice), Mytrice Marion, Carol Morton, Jimmy Lee Brantley (deceased), Ronald Brantley (deceased). Second generation children, Frank, Shawn (Michelle), Jason, Cedric, Mark (Sarah), Samuel (Lakeitha), 17 grand children, 40 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren. In memory of deceased siblings, Roxie Fussell, Matthew Hall, and Patricia Parker.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 2-3 PM before the service. Eulogies will be delivered by the family. Interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Frazier and Son Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
