Reverend James B. Daniels, 79, of Bonaire had a glorius homegoing on Wednesday, March 12th.Visitation will be Friday, March 14th, 6-8 PM at Frazier and Son Funeral Home, Rochelle.Funeral services were held Saturday, March 15th, 11 AM at Unity Baptist Church, Bonaire. The family received friends one hour prior to service at the church.Interment was in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Mitchell, Ga.at 4 PM. Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Faye Merritt Daniels.He is survivied by their children, Timmy and Lynn Daniels of Zebulon, Ga., Tammy and Lane Bryant of Lorena, TX,precious grandchildren, Jessie, Jamie, Kallie, Kelsey and Cam and sisters-Sandra (Richard) Griffin of Montgomery, AL and Wanda (James) Rhodes of Rochelle. Jimmy served in the United States Air Force and worked on RAFB for 23 years. His true calling in life was that of pastor and he and Faye served our Lord and Savior for 43 years.Our family was richly blessed with a large church family including Madrid Baptist, Madrid, AL, Gillsville Baptist, Gillsville, Ga., Beulah Baptist, Lifsey Springs, Ga., Friendship Baptist, Pineview, Ga., Bethlehem Baptist, Bonaire, Ga., Unity Baptist, Bonaire, Ga., Cedar Creek Baptist, Abbeville, Ga., Mitchell Baptist, Mitchell, Ga.He served as interim at Harmony Baptist, Unadilla, Ga. and Livingstone, Fort Valley, Ga. Jimmy was an avid and accomplished sportsman, spending many mornings chasing a gobbler or whitetail, fishing the Ocmulgee River or lake for crappie, and bowling with his friends in the Monday and Wednesday Senior League.He loved his friends at Chick-Fil-A, who greeted Mr. Jim every morning with a smile, a hug, and a biscuit.
