James W. Bloodworth, age 93 of Pineview, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at his residence. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M. in the church an hour before the service. Interment will be held in the Friendship Cemetery. Reverend Brian Sangster and Reverend Larry Wilbanks will officiate.

James was born on May 29, 1932 in Pineview. He was the son of the late John Arthur Bloodworth and Jean Rhodes Bloodworth. He was a self-employed farmer and a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He loved to sit by the pond, enjoyed his pine trees, loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a big fan of drinking Dr. Pepper. He was preceded in death by his grandson-Mason James Bloodworth.

Survivors include: his wife-Joyce Bloodworth, son-Jim Bloodworth (Michele), daughter-Karen Thompson Jones (Terry), brother-John M. Bloodworth, sister-Rose Graham, grandchildren-Tara Moore (Jeremy), Shelly Sheffield (Jake), Zac Bloodworth, great-grandchildren-Hunter Moore (Makena), Bailey Sheffield, Brantley Moore, Brinleigh Sheffield, Lexie Moore, Steven Sheffield, and a great-great-grandchild-Parker Moore.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home.
