Ida Sheffield

Ida Sheffield, age 80 of Pitts, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held one hour before the service in the chapel. Rev. Billy Harris will officiate. Interment will be private in the Morningside Cemetery.

Ida was born on July 16, 1946 in Cordele, Georgia. She was daughter of the late Lloyd Spradley and Ollie Strickland Spradley. She was a retired housekeeper with Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab in Cordele, Georgia. She was a faithful and devoted member of Pitts Baptist Church. Ida enjoyed working in her yards and going to any event involved with her church. She was preceded in death by her husband-Walter Cecil Sheffield and her daughter-Gayle Robinson.

Survivors include: sons-Glenn Sheffield (Michelle) and Greg Sheffield, brother-Danny Spradley, and grandchildren, Shelly Luther (Zach), Dylan Sheffield (Emily), Mason, Brian, Will, and Rylee Sheffield, and Adam Robinson.
