Gus L. Womack

Gus L. Womack, age 86 of Rebecca, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at his residence. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Pope City Cemetery. Chaplain Don R. Wilson will officiate. 

Gus was born on April 27, 1939 in Trion, Ga. He was the son of the late James Womack and Maggie Boatman Womack. He was a retired electrical engineer with Ford Motor Company. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go fishing, camping, and motorcycle riding. He was preceded in death by his son-Scott Womack, 2 brothers-Clarence Womack and J.W. Womack, and sister-Nancy Bass.

Survivors include: his wife-Diane Womack, daughters-Tami (Eric) Madera, Lori (Mark) Shields, and Victoria (David) Estrada, brothers-Jim Womack and Charlie (Ruth Ann) Womack, sisters-Frances (Gail) Gunst, and Shirley (Leon) Calhoun, 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
