Gloria Gaynell Cook age 73 of Fitzgerald, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in the Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2009 in the Liberty Emanuel Holiness Church in Fitzgerald.The Reverend Wilburn Wiley will officiate.A graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada, Georgia. Mrs. Cook was born on September 7, 1935 in Grady County.She had lived the past 17 years in Fitzgerald moving there from Bainbridge. She was daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Gaddis and Clarsey Estelle Glover.She was a member of the Liberty Emanuel Holiness Church and was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by a son-William Joseph Cook and a daughter-Anna M. Jackson. Survivors include:sons-Ray Cook of Montclair, California and Josh Cook of Fitzgerald, daughters-Esther Folds of Macon, Martha Weldon of Quitman, and Cindy Weaver of Fitzgerald, brothers-Roger Gaddis of Preston, Mississippi and Jerald Gaddis of Fitzgerald, sister-Mary Faircloth of Fitzgerald, 8-grandchildren and 8-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, April 10, 2009 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle has charge of arrangements.
