Frances K. Maddox, age 94 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in the Dorminy Medical Center.Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 10th in the Siloam Baptist Church.Dr. Lloyd Stembridge and Reverend Tommy Baker officiated.Interment was in the family plot in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca. Mrs. Maddox was born on August 17, 1921 in Abbeville.She was daughter of the late Simon Keen and Delila Watson Keen.She was a teacher for 3 years with the Wilcox County Board of Education and was a homemaker.She was a member of the Arbor Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Maddox. Survivors include:sons-Keith Noile (Peggy) Maddox of Almond, NC and Rodney Stephen (Lacy) Maddox of Raleigh, NC and 5-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Elaine Fisher, 8143 Owensboro Rd., Abbeville, Ga. 31001. Pallbearers Were:Nathan Maddox, Andrew Keen, Jake Keen, Josh Sheffield, W. L. Farmer and Douglas Marshall. Glenn Fisher played prelude and postlude.Laurie White sang "What A Friend" and the congregation sang "Amazing Grace". Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle was in charge of arrangements.
