Earl A. Anderson, age 85 of Abbeville, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the Taylor Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2011 in the Kramer Baptist Church.Reverend Talmadge Wilcox, Reverend Hicks Brown, Reverend Chuck Taylor and Reverend Greg Estes will officiate.Interment will be in the family plot in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, Ga. Mr. Anderson was born on August 28, 1925 in Augusta, Ga.He was son of the late Julian Sheilds Anderson and Agnes Deason Anderson.He served his country during World War II in Pearl Harbor with the Merchant Marines.He also worked on an ammunition ship.He served in the Civil Service with Warner Robins Air Force Base for 33 years.He was a member of Kramer Baptist Church.He took the most pride in his church ministry, nursing home ministry and prison ministry.When asked by his doctor what did he want to do in life, he said “To lead as many people to Christ as I can”. Survivors include:wife-Charlotte Anderson of Abbeville, sons-Kevin Anderson of Tifton and Kerry Anderson of Abbeville, sister-Laurie Estes of Abbeville, 1-granddaughter-Whitney Lynn Anderson and 1-great-granddaughter-Lilla Blayne Beecher. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011 in the funeral home. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
