Derral Keene

Derral Keene, age 85, of Rochelle, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, in the Pruitt Health Care Center, Ashburn, Georgia.  He was retired from the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge, and a Baptist by faith.

Derral was born May 2, 1938, in Rochelle, to the late Curtis Nelson Keene and Mary Lucinda Harden Keene.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Dwayne Keene; and his second wife, Mildred.

Survivors in include his son, Kenneth Derral Keene of Palm Coast, Fla.; his brothers, Fred Keene (Suzie) of Rochelle, and Perry Keene (Linda) of Pitts; his sisters, Betty Turner and Opal Rountree both of Rochelle; 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 19th, at 11:00 a.m. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Wilcox officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
