Brenda R Payne

Brenda R. Payne, age 70 of Abbeville, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026 at her residence. A Memorialization Service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Payne was born on November 18, 1955 in Vienna, Ga. She was daughter of the late Lonnie Thurston Rooks and Anna Louise Woodard. She was an retired caregiver. Her hobbies and pleasures were fishing, crocheting, sewing, and working puzzle books. Some of her most favorite things to do were watching her granddaughter play softball and spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Payne, daughter, Melissa Dennard, step-daughter, Betty Sue Nelson, step-son, David Payne, and great-granddaughter, Khloe West.

Survivors include: son-Kevin Dennard (Bertha), daughters-Kathy Soloman (Stephen), Katrina Dennard, and sister-Katherine Rooks, 4-grandchildren and 8-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the charity of choice.
