Betty Robitzsch Tomberlin

Betty Robitzsch Tomberlin, age 94 of Abbeville, Ga, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Shady Pines Estate surrounded by her children. Funeral Service will be held at Abbeville Christian Church at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 1, 2025. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Betty had been a member of Abbeville Christian Church for 75 years. Reverend Justin Crenshaw and Rev. Landon Crenshaw will officiate. Interment will be in the Stubbs Cemetery.

Betty was born on September 28, 1930, in Fitzgerald, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Leon C. Robitzsch Sr. and Elvie Sellers Robitzsch. She was a retired Executive Vice President of the Wilcox County State Bank with many years of service. She loved to read and was very much a family person. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years William Wright Tomberlin, a brother, Leon C. Robitzsch Jr. and a sister, Caryl Middleton.

Survivors include: a son- Gene (Marcia) Tomberlin, and daughters-Caryl Sue (Randy) Crenshaw, Kem (Marty) Bloodworth, and Kerri (Tony) Strickland, and a brother- Billy (Gwen) Robitzsch, 9-grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 3- Great-Great Grandchildren.
