Betty N. Lane

Betty N. Lane, age 77, of Abbeville, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, in the Atrium Health Navicent, Macon.  She was a homemaker, and former operator of Betty’s Craft Store.  She was of the Christian faith.

Betty and Jack were together almost 60 years.  Betty loved her family especially her grandchildren.  She loved flowers, fishing, and making crafts.  She will be missed.

Betty was born September 19, 1944, in Ball Ground, GA, to the late Zed Neighbors and Cora Craig Neighbors.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas “Frog” Lane, and a son-in-law, Tommy O’Neal.  Survivors include her husband, Jack Lane; 4 sons, Dan Lane, Terry Lane (Kathy), Richard Lane (Diane), and Alan Lane (Sherrie); 4 daughters, Mary Simmons (Rudy), Deloris O’Neal, Tammy Stephens (Craig), and Melissa Lane (Rob); 1 sister, Alice Evans; 27 Grandchildren; 35 Great-Grandchildren; and 16 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 21 ^st , at 2:00 p.m. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel, with Rev. David Clark officiating.  Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Frazier & Son Funeral Home.
