Anita Jane Rutherford

Anita Jane Rutherford, age 79, passed away on June 1, 2026, at her home in Kathleen, GA. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. before the service. Reverend Eddie Smith and Reverend Alli Smith will officiate. Stan Rutherford will give a eulogy.

Born on November 9, 1946, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Kermit Rutherford and Opal McGlamory Rutherford Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her sister, June Dixon, and her brother, Terry Rutherford.

Jane retired from Ernst & Young after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and, above all, spending time with her family. She was a 1964 graduate of Wilcox Central High School. Known affectionately as everyone's favorite aunt, she touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and love. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of family, and the countless memories she created with those she held dear.

She is survived by her brothers, Jimmy (Martha) Rutherford and Derrell Rutherford; her sister, Faye Willingham; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.
