Alex Turk

Alex Turk, age 70 of Pitts, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at his residence.A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3rd in the Pitts Cemetery.Reverend Bill Kent will officiate. Mr. Turk was born on April 5, 19444 in Pitts, Ga.He was son of the late Morris Alexander Turk , Sr. and Ernestine Bowen Turk.He was a truck driver with Frontier in Fairburn, Ga.He was a former employee with Georgia Pacific as a Maintenance Supervisor and a railroad conductor with the Seaboard Coastline.He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Pitts Baptist Church. Survivors include:wife-Roxie Turk of Pitts, son-James (Pam) Turk of Ambrose, step-sons-David (Angel) Bradshaw of Winterhaven, Florida, Doug Bradshaw of Warm Springs and Dale Bradshaw of Warm Springs, daughter-Camille (Allen) Etheridge of Fitzgerald, step-daughter-Debra (Phil) Cox of Taber City, NC, sisters-Morrislyn Roberts of Dacula and Helen Watson of Macon, 3-grandsons, 5-step-grandaughters and 4-step-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
